Cognitive distortion: a habitual way of thinking that is often inaccurate and negatively biased.
Cognitive thinking: mental processes involved in gaining knowledge and comprehending information
Dissonance: having inconsistent thoughts, beliefs, or attitudes (especially related to behavioural decisions or attitude change)
Instant gratification: this term refers to the temptation and tendency for people to focus on obtaining a more immediate benefit with less rewards instead of pushing for a future benefit.
Self-regulation: the ability to understand and manage your behaviour and reactions to external stimuli.
Synapses: the site of transmission of electric nerve impulses between two nerve cells (neurons)
